The Ignacio Martín-Baró Initiative grew out of a commitment to psychosocial health and human rights, and a commitment to supporting groups on the ground actualizing the power of Ignacio Martín-Baró’s vision. In the three decades, hundreds of groups around the world have received vital support, thanks to people like you who believe we can make a difference together.

The Martín-Baró Fund partners with Grassroots International to support grassroots projects built on the power of communities and collective work to recover from experiences of violence, injustice and repression. The Martín-Baró Initiative at Grassroots International helps to connect the energy and resources of donors and activists in the US with global grantmaking to advance social reparation and a more just and equitable world.
